How To Register

The Worker Authorisation System process is completed in two parts: business registration, and worker registration.

Your company will be contacted by Zinfra, Jemena or Pegasus on their behalf to register in the WAS.

Contractors of the following divisions currently need to register.

  • Zinfra Power Services (Victoria)
  • Jemena Network Services – Gas Services

Please check back regularly as this list is updated.

Please note: contractors who work and operate within the Victorian Electrical Supply Industry (VESI) will continue to manage VESI training, authorisations, and network inductions of their workers in the ESI worker Portal.

We suggest you read through the instructions and give yourself time to source the information needed to work for Zinfra or Jemena.

A nominated administrator will complete this process for your business and each worker.

User guides with screenshots can be found on the Help and Resources page.

Step 1 > Register a username and password

The Worker Authorisation System can be found by clicking the button below.

Start by entering a username of your choosing, plus your email address and a password. You’ll receive an email confirmation.

Step 2 > Register business details and answer profile questions

Using your new details, login to the Worker Authorisation System.

Follow the process to register your business by answering profile questions and selecting the insurances and licences you can supply to support your registration.

Step 3 > Pay for registration

Business registration in the Worker Authorisation System is $150 + GST annually for the verification of your documents and information, and the maintenance of your account.

Step 4 > Upload documents for verification

You will be prompted to upload copies of the licences and insurances you selected in step 2 for verification:

    • Valid ABN matching company name
    • Public & Product Liability Insurance
    • Workers Compensation Insurance
    • Professional Indemnity Insurance
    • Occupational Licenses

You will be emailed when your documents are verified or if any corrections are required to finalise your company registration.

The training, authorisations, and network inductions of Zinfra Power Services (Victoria) workers will be managed in the ESI worker portal.

For other divisions, to complete your registration you will next be invited to register your workers.

Please click to expand Stage 2.

After business registration, contractors who work and operate within the Victorian Electrical Supply Industry will continue to manage VESI training, authorisations, and network inductions of their workers in the ESI worker portal. Please click for steps and more information.

If you are unsure if this applies to you please do not continue – contact Pegasus or your Zinfra or Jemena representative.

All other workers are to be registered following the instructions below:

Step 1 > Login and add workers

On business registration approval (stage 1), Pegasus will email you login details to register your workers.

Using these emailed details, login and add your workers – you’ll start by selecting Manage Roles and then Add New Employee. From here you can enter and save their personal contact details, address, phone and email.

Step 2 > Pay for worker registration and access ID card

Pay for your worker’s registration and order their access ID cards to work for Zinfra or Jemena.

    • Worker registration costs $90 + GST per person for the first year for the management of roles, verification of documents, and supply of card.
    • Annual renewal costs $50 + GST per person.

A tax invoice will be supplied upon receiving payment.

Step 3 > Add roles, upload documents and book training

You will next select your worker’s name to Add New Role and choose their Zinfra and/or Jemena work role/s based on division.

Your selections will determine the competency documents which need to be uploaded in the system to prove your worker is can complete the chosen role/s. Documents may include but are not limited to:

    • Photograph
    • Proof of Identity
    • Generic Induction Cards
    • High Risk Licenses
    • Trade or Tertiary Qualifications
    • Certificates or Statements of Attainment

At this time, you will also book your worker’s online and classroom safety inductions. They will be emailed details about how and where to complete each before attending site.

Note: Zinfra Power Services (Victoria) maintain worker records in ESI Worker.

Pegasus will validate the documents you upload during registration. You will be emailed to update any required information. Upon document approval and induction completion, the roles will be applied to your worker’s profile and their access ID cards printed and sent.

Once you have completed both stages to register, the system can be accessed by creating a Pegasus Gateway account, and adding the Zinfra Jemena tile. This allows you to access both parts of the Zinfra Jemena Worker Authorisation System from one place with one login. Click the Pegasus Gateway button found at the top of the page once you are registered to set up your Pegasus Gateway single sign-on access.
